God who knows we are restless

God who wants for us justice
God whose heart still bleeds
God whose child still pleads.

 We pray

God of our days long gone

God of our yearning for a song
God of our ages
God of the beloved sages.

We pray

God over all of the land

God over all of the heavenly band
God of the living
God of the just barely breathing.

We pray

God who is the past

God who has saved us at last
God who listens and knows
God who loves all of us below.

We pray

God who is above

God who is full of grace and love
God who hears our call
God who comforts us when we fall.
